Results in for pre-NOCTI Exams That Show Student Success

Pre-NOCTI exams were administered through October, and results showed that 93 percent of Central Pennsylvania Institute of Science and Technology students scored advanced or competent on the written part of the test.

NOCTI – National Occupational Competency Testing Institute – is a standardized test administered to students in technical education programs.

The pre-NOCTI exams serve “as a roadmap as to competencies the student may need to work on,” CPI President Richard Makin said. The pre-NOCTI tests only include a written portion, but once the actual NOCTI exams are administered in the spring, they will include written and hands-on sections.
