CPI Students of the Month Named for October

October Students of the Month were announced Wednesday, and 24 were honored.

Vice President of Secondary Education MaryAnn Volders said students are nominated each month from October to April, by CPI instructors. A celebration will be held at the end of the year to honor all students who were recognized.

The morning students were: Mason Ault, Julia Bloom, Alexa Bressler, Jeffrey Fry, Haley Gardner, Logan Gettig, Matthew Heggenstaller, Monique Homchosky, Scott Liliedahl, Kyle Rowles, and Lance Sweeley.

The afternoon students were: Quentin Confer, Kaylee Davis, Bobbi Jo Etters, Emily Fisher, Jacob Flory, Alyssa Glace, McKenna Hendrix, Devin Hockenberry, Zachary Kelley, John Owens, Kiana Parks, Ryan Smith, and Marshal Wertz.

“It’s real special because you get out what you put into it,” said Bellefonte Area sophomore Kyle Rowles, of the Collision Repair Technology program.

Volders said that each month has a different theme, and students are nominated based on how they represent that theme. October’s theme was “cooperative.” The November theme is “respectful,” and next month is “honesty/ethical.”

The mission of the program is to help build school spirit while “recognizing students who exemplify superior qualities in different areas,” according to information from CPI.
