Date: June 30, 2010A contingent of CPI students (Meghann Elliot – Post-Secondary Dental Assistant, Jessica Dugan – Secondary Dental Assistant, and Nicole Rossman – Secondary Food and Beverage,) competed in the National SkillsUSA competition held in Kansas City, MO on June 20th – 25th. These students earned the right to compete nationally by winning first place at the State SkillsUSA competition held in Hershey, PA.
The results are in: Meghann Elliot earned gold as national SkillsUSA winner and Jessica Dugan earned silver for placing second nationally in the secondary division!
CPI’s administration and faculty would like to extend congratulations to all SkillsUSA competitors and recognize the hard work and contributions of Mindi Tobias – Dental Assistant Instructor, Tim Beckenbaugh – Culinary Arts Instructor, Bill Weaver – SkillsUSA Advisor, and the region’s cooperating dental practices that have supported the advancement of CPI’s Dental Assistant Program. Your contributions have helped send three students to nationals and have helped CPI students earn gold and silver at nationals!
